What was the point of giving Sansa to the Boltons if you're

she did care, there was a scene where cersei gives littlefinger the go ahead to take the knights of the vale to deal with him


it still makes no sense. it seems like littlefinger's plan was to marry sansa to the boltons, then show up and rescue her with the vale lords with the crown's permission.

but whats the point if youre just going to declare for sansa anyway, and thus be branded a traitor to the crown?

he might as well have just taken winterfell with sansa himself to begin with
