seasons 5 thru 7 are deleted, to adjust for actors aging, there is a timeskip between seasons 4 and 5 which is slowly explained throughout season 5
most storylines are completely rewritten or at the very least not shown
Arya is seen for the first time somewhere in the second half of the season, already back in Westeros
Dorne plot completely rewritten or removed
Sansa-Boltons-winterfell plot completely removed
Jon Snow plot at the wall stays the same
Stannis still dies but the way this happens is completely different from the illogicalities in s5.
Daenerys Essos plot significantly shortened, instead of two worthless seasons, she begins to invades westeros somewhere in middle of s5
King's Landing plot also shortened, with the Faith Militant subplot reaching it's conclusion significantly faster
