Sansa admitted to being a "slow learner". I think arya was laying it on thick from the beginning because she knew what was up. In the scene where Sansa finds her faces, she muses about killing her and wearing her pretty dresses- something arya would never actually want to do. most storylines are completely rewritten or at the very least not shown

They try to make his death matter and be a big reveal out of it by spending a few mins in the last couple of episodes to build up this conflict that he's supposed to be inciting between Arya and Sansa, but the big problem is that LF has very obviously been ignored by the writers for a long time now. He's an unimportant character now, and then it's very hard to believe that he is going to create a wedge between the just reunited sisters, and even less of a shock that clean off another unimportant character before the few last episodes.
