She walks into the bar with the man she's been arguing with in previous episodes. They order 2 martinis. A man is singing a song about Diane on the stage. The song ends and the host says it's time for Audrey's dance and then her theme from the original seasons starts playing. The dance floor clears and she's the only one on it. She dances on her own in a strange slow kind of way. A man runs into the crowd and starts a fight. She starts screaming that she wants to leave and suddenly it flashes to her in another room with a lit up mirror showing her face. In an instant she's back in the bar and the episode ends

In the original series there's some hints that Cooper feels something for Laura as a person. I'm not saying some super deep connection but the best example is probably when he talks to Jacques at the casino, at one point when Jacques is going into Laura's last night he's literally seething and almost draws his gun on him.

FWWM also makes them have more of a spiritual connectedness across time and space with the Lodge stuff and Laura seeing visions of him. In the end, he shows up as her guardian in death, comforting her. It's not necessarily that they have a bond, but Lynch is definitely signalling a kind of connectedness across time and space between the two.
