1. The movie confuses them, instead of admitting they had trouble following a superhero film, they blame the film

4. Other scholars put forth their theses, going into more depth, putting the imagery into a grander context to show that no, the film is not saying Superman is Jesus, it is just one note in an opera about lost souls projecting their fears and desires onto powerful people in a postmodern society. BTFO, butthurt, embarrassed that their own reading was so shallow, they blame the author
