Has there ever been a more successful political film in history?
Fortunately a Scotsman, it had always puzzled me why the anglo gets so wound up about this film. However, now I'm beginning to realise why this is the case.
The multiple AA winning masterpiece completely vindicates Scotland and condemns the anglo and cements their reputation as an oppressive villainous nation, and after this film (which i hadn't seen until age 25) the whole world knows it.
Just want to say thanks, Mel. But I'd prefer an M&C type remake which shows the Scottish skinning the English alive. It'd be far more satisfying.
