Wow what a intricate, fascinating and conflicted villain!

This felt like watching a live action anime, and I mean that in the worst way I can. Every line of dialogue and emotion was hyper-telegraphed to the audience with very little nuance, similar to the way anime characters scream their emotions and motivations. The difference is, the Japs have a different way of expressing things that doesn't usually mesh well with out culture, while this dreck was targeted toward people who could supposedly understand more. It might be targeted toward emotionally-ravaged men in their thirties, but a generation raised on films like this will legitimately grow up to be socially retarded.
