>Main line in the books is "The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed"
>entire film is about the man in black following after and chasing the gunslinger
I wanted this movie to be good, I really did. I even tried watching a second time, hoping to try to make it good.

Did a rewatch explain why, at the ending, when Roland shoots the chair Jake was in the entire facility explodes all of the sudden?

God, I pray IT will be good. I knew they would fuck up when they cast Idris as Roland, but at least in IT they casted the perfect actors in the wrong roles. That's a start, I guess.

Except it's a remake and just because of that it's pointless and driven only to make money. At the very least if the director becomes successful he might finish his Shadow of the Colossus film.
