And unlike his friends, who all genuinely liked each other and fought actually threatening monsters, the vindicators were assholes that did very little but paraded themselves around as if they were the saviors of the galaxy.

I agree. I get less and less invested with every episode because I know rick will 'save' everyone at the end. Kinda why stuff like Doctor Who and House gets boring quickly.

But they literally constantly switch dimensions due to how much rick fucks something or someone up. Many versions of themselves are dead or mutated.

Although I guess the ones WE see all the time are the "main" characters so it dampens the effect but theres really no way of telling how many mortys rick has fucking killed
