He's right though. It's just your standard instrumentation, some spoopy choir vocals, don't forget the unsettling children's song melody and a shitload of reverb, not exactly groundbreaking. It's well done but that doesn't save it from being generic. Many good movies can have just a generic soundtrack like Fury Road or every Hans Zimmer movie ever.
