The one thing I've always wondered is if Daniel was being honest with Eli about Paul. We know that he lied about paying Paul $10000 (he only paid out $500), but that could have just been a simple error on his part. I wonder if he was honest about Paul owning 3 wells of his own, all producing at $5000 per week. That'd make Paul his competitor, too, wouldn't it? So was he just trying to make Eli feel worse by lying or was he rubbing salt in those wounds while being honest?
