Back in seasons 1 and 2 they actually TRIED to make it an actual television show, but somewhere along the line the creator realized he was a fucking hack and then decided to create ironically shit programming from that point on, basically just going "LOOK HOW MUCH OF A SHITFEST WE CAN MAKE THINGS" until we finally got to this, where it sounds like a bad April Fools joke.

I tried watching season 3 and it was literally the worst thing I had ever seen. A friend told me to start with that season because it was so scary. I literally laughed the entire time. It's one of the worst things to ever come to television. You have to see it to believe it.
