I think part of the problem is they focus too much on the emotional and relationship parts of it, and too little on the physical, the whole draw of heroes is to watch them perform feats above what humans are capable of and fight bad guys, and all we get is badly written relationships between characters, shitty dialogue and a badly choreographed fight scene every now and then. I would personally rather see more of their hero personas than the focus on side characters.

The only good take-away from this show was the Punisher trailer at the end of the last episode.
