Watching films should be a singular whole uninterrupted experience. When the editor is editing scenes together he isn't taking account where could the viewer go on a bathroom/shitposting break, he's cutting the scenes to make a perfect whole.
But I guess if you watch films on your 13 Inch Toshiba laptop with one earbud on and 20 open Chrome tabs then what's the point.
