I'm several episodes in to SG-1 and am growing rather concerned that it's going to ruin the Stargate leitmotif for me. Am I going to be hearing it nonstop the entire run of the show?

It's played at least three or four times per episode. Opening credits, closing credits and some background versions whenever they make discoveries or something special happens.

Good luck surviving the entire run with or without sound. The whole show gets very repetitive.

I feel like I've been hearing it literally nonstop. Not just the dramatic swells where it shines, but its being used more subtly quite often. Soundtracks that repeat a leitmotif too much really rustle my jimmies. It's what made me despise Star Trek: Beyond so much.

I got sick of it for a while, but years later I can't hear it without getting waaay too happy

Yeah you're probably going to be annoyed. It's a pretty comfy show for a couple seasons, though.

This show is very autism friendly. Just skip the intro and it's not as noticeable.
