/tpg/ - Twin Peaks General

I stopped watching this show after episode 10 since there were other things on TV on Sundays at that point. The only way I would even bother watching the rest would be Cooper returning but it sounds like that didn't happen and likely never will. Even if it did, we get three measly fucking episodes of him or less? Might as well not even bother as it would be a joke at this point.

For me, Twin Peaks is as good as dead. This is the last post I'll make in this thread out of respect for people who do watch the show and don't want to see arguments in here.

I'm gonna be a fag and just be totally earnest here, watching this show after watching the shitty predictable tropefest that Game of Thrones has become just makes it so much more satisfying. It feels amazing to be genuinely surprised and blown away by something, and to see a work done by a real auteur. At this point I'm only even watching GoT as a fucking chore, waiting for it to be over, whereas I genuinely don't know what to do after Twin Peaks ends.

Makes more sense that she'd have a picture of Coop in her pocket if it was there since the explosion, kept with her all these years. What doesn't add up is everything about her scenes and her situation. The fact that she can't leave the house screams "CANT WAKE UP" symbolism, and the surreal nature of the house and Charlie supports this

I don't see any reason for her story thus far to be literal, especially in a show that puts so much emphasis on dreams

My mom dropped the show in the last scene. She was furious at David Lynchs blatantly sexist film making. Her hands were shaking as she turned the tv off. Screaming at the top of her lungs that Lynch filmed a minority woman for several minutes crawling on the floor in terror as she is surrounded by overbearing men.It was perpetuating that rape is ok, and women deserve to be under men in society. As seen by the men forcefully removing the woman from her seat. It is also racist as it calls back to Rosa Parks and the historical bus event. This woman would not give up her seat, but the racist white men came in a forcefully took it from her, I mean it was basically rape. I tried to get my mom to calm down, but she kept screaming. She is currently trying everything in her power to get a hold of someone at showtime to get a complaint in. "This episode was nothing but sexist, racist, and a literal threat against women" she is exclaiming to the customer service person on the phone right now.
