To be honest, releasing it during the summer (especially during the worst box office summer in a very long time) was a terrible decision for the movie. Both box office- and Oscar-wise

Did they try to ape Hurt Locker's success story? Because if I remember well that movie did terrible at the box office and despite being good it only won because it was a terrible year at the movies.
