All this ninja shit, mme gao, etc, should have filled half a season of daredevil and been left behind for other plots. I can't believe entire teams of professional entertainment industry people thought this would be interesting enough to spread across 4 seasons of tv. Instead we get the same back alley/warehouse/crumbling dojo/unfinished building fight scenes a thousand times because all the main characters have the same super power ("punch/throw shit real good") and are so fucking similar their plotlines have to be color coded like teletubbies so viewers can parse them. The shit I took this morning was more charismatic than Danny Rand, and his punches barely look strong enough to knock an empty bottle off a table. I'm only halfway through the show because every time I see him swinging his glowing, quivering little fistlet around I get too embarrassed to continue. Netflix should have produced a single 5-episode miniseries for each character (daredevil can have 10 with 5 focused on Punisher). They've spent so much time building up to this, only for it to be more of the same tripe, that I'm too tired of it to keep watching.

Both Iron Fist and the Stick are trained in the same martial arts from K'un-Lun. The Stick trained Daredevil, so they're all in the same style. Now it's just a question of experience. The Iron Fist was only missing for 15 years and during that time he never participated in actual combat, just training. Daredevil has well over twenty years of experience and has been exposed through combat not only through being Daredevil and his fights with Kingpin, but also through the Stick and Elektra throughout his past. He's trained longer and has much more experience than the Iron Fist.

And all of that is not even counting the fact that the Daredevil has supersensory powers that lets him hear heart beats, muscle fiber bunching, tendons tightening and knowing when people are about to throw punches and pull kicks.

Lastly, and most importantly, even in the comics Iron Fist jobs to Daredevil. In no world would Danny ever beat Matt.

I suspect that the K'un-Lun that Danny knew and lived at was actually a gateway or outer shell, so to speak, and he never saw or visited the real K'un-Lun. Elektra and the Hand massacred the gatekeepers, but never got into the real city. This is what Madame Gao meant when she said Danny didn't see what he thought he saw.
