they do other stuff to pay for the apartment but they don't show that
>>

I was a bum and lived in a whole floor for a while, plumbing didn't worked and I had a horse sticking his head through the window.
>>
They make a lot of money off of tips because they are hot chics.

They should.

Lol, more like thousands. It's New York, hundreds of dollars will get you the equivalent of a large closet. But that's just tv I guess. Other than Daredevil, I can't remember the last tv show that showed how impossible it is to rent a decent place to live in NY. His apartment was kind of crap and he was a fucking Ivy League lawyer.

kats a teasing twitch streamer in her spare time. the donations cover the rent

The show is set in Williamsburg, where a shitty studio apartment is $2000+ a month.
>>
>>86565293
That sounds awesome. Did you ever pretend he could talk like Mr. Ed?

So do jobs in New York pay insanely higher than jobs in the rest of the country do? I live in a three bedroom two bathroom house right in the middle of the city conveniently located next to literally everything and I don't pay that much.

Thousands of dollars a month for a shitty apartment just seems unbelievable.
>>
>>86565576
No, he was mean and smelly, chick magnet tough.
>>
>>86565748
>So do jobs in New York pay insanely higher than jobs in the rest of the country do?

There are just so many rich people around that they drive up the price of all real estate dramatically. Millionaires and billionaires all over America and all over the world buy apartments in New York and this inflates the entire market. Ever notice how every world-famous person seems to own at least one place in the city?
>>
>>86565748
>So do jobs in New York pay insanely higher than jobs in the rest of the country do?
For the most part, no. That's why the middle and lower classes either scramble through fortunes to stay in slums and shoeboxes or just commute from North Jersey

And NY's rents aren't even as bad as San Francisco
>>
>>86565748
Is it a major city? Almost all major cities have really expensive rent, in NY pay is usually a bit higher than other places but not nearly enough to make up for cost of living. You either have to have a good job or you have a bad/decent job and live in a bad neighborhood.
>>
>>86565915
>Ever notice how every world-famous person seems to own at least one place in the city?

Yeah. I remember when Taylor Swift bought an apartment in New York last year for ''''''''''only'''''''''' $20 million.
>>
>>86565748
>thousands of dollars per month for a shitty apartment

thats what its like here in Toronto. and this is a meme city, I can only imagine how bloated rent prices are in NYC
>>
>>86565748
I live just outside Portland and my shitty apartment is 1187 a month, without utilities
>>
>>86564515
>hundreds of dollars per month

manhattan is upwards of $2300 a month for a shitty studio room now

I grew up in Los Angeles, and if New York is anything like that city then the answer is NO. On average jobs pay slightly more than they do in other less urban areas but not even close to what it would take to make up the difference in the cost of living. Basically if you want to live in a nice area you have to be rich. Otherwise you're either commuting from outside the city or you're living in a nigger ridden get shot walking home ghetto because that's the only place where rent is low (and even then it's still more expensive than living outside of the city is).

This. We have exactly the same thing in the land of the rising bong.

She's a part-time office assistant with two small children. He's an account manager at a small steel fabricators.

Budget £750k, drive to viewings in a white Range Rover Evoque.

I assumed they were actors but its hard to tell given how insane the property market is. Half the houses they view are owned by people of even more menial employment who want £1.5m for a Victorian railway porter's terraced house or whatever.

Worst show is the one presented Kirsty Allsop who is a sort of posh idiot. On one episode she offered more than the asking price to "secure the property". Apparently thats an insider's trick amongst property experts.

How did this show get as many seasons as it did? It was god fucking awful.

The only thing it had going for it was kat and the blonde chick. I would sometimes watch reruns on TBS just in case they ended up making out.

But seriously this show was dogshit. The girls were hot though.

L.A. is significantly cheaper since there's so much more space. The downside of course is that you have to drive everywhere.
