This is one of those perfect series you can just put on any random episode and enjoy it, if you've already seen the series atleast once that is. Some days I'll just put blood and sand on and a random episode and it works. Comfy watching indeed.

Alot of people are like this, I know I was. That's because the scheming and deeper plot threads come into it only after episode 4. Sure they seed them as early as episode 2 and 3 but there's no cliffhangers or payoff until later.

I think the turning point is The Pits if I remember right, where spartacus throws that dagger and he throws the fight but saves batiatus, then later we see his wife die and it just explodes into bigger shit, seeing spartacus slowly becoming king is great tv too.

I fucking loved this show. Both actors that played Spartacus did a great job. The final episode, I cried like a fucking bitch. One of my favorite TV shows of all time. I loved every single moment of it. I need to rewatch it some time.
