All they have to do is makes it scary.

A marine is stationed on a mars base. He's one some outpost doing some shit duty when he hears weird transmissions coming from base. He gets back and discovers a portal to hell has opened. He has to shoot his way through the base to get to the hangar to get in a ship that will take him to the other mars moon base.

Maybe a couple of survivors join up with him and maybe one or two even makes it out. It's Aliens with Hicks as the lead instead of Ripley. Tell Hollywood I'll give them notes if they want

This would be the perfect DOOM movie. Two hours of non stop rip n tear with a few pauses to reload. Movie climaxes when doom guy finds a berzerk power up.

I think that Fury Road is a perfect example of how to do a Doom movie. Start the movie in the middle of the action where everything has already gone to hell (pun intended). Have a stoic protag who hardly ever speaks, like Fury Road, and build the mythos through imagery rather than dialog and minor characters that no one cares about.
