Yes they do. My 13 year old son watches Rick and Morty, and he laughs at all the same jokes that people make memes out of on the show. It's pathetic but whatever makes him happy I guess.

This season of Archer was a total disappointed it probably had female writers too if it though dragging out a dream sequence across 8 episodes and calling it a season was a good idea.

The Simpsons seasons 2-7 still hold up just fine, season 8 you can see the decline, and once you hit 9, it starts growing more and more unwatchable. The only issue you might run into is that much of the comedy is sort of toothless in today's milieu (if you're into edgy shit) -- when it first came out, though, people were hysterical over how "obscene" it was.

In any case, the gags still hold up, everything is tightly written, and I think it's as funny as ever, but I grew up with the show, so I may well be blinded by nostalgia.

I mean, if you're into edgy shit, you're just going to find the show toothless, and you might not find it all that funny. I don't really care all that much about edginess, and I'd prefer well-written characters and tight gags. Ultimately, the show still has a very bleak view of life in the US (almost all important institutions are depicted as greedy, corrupt, feckless, etc.), and it's pretty strongly anti-authority, which I think is arguably ""edgier"" than really vulgar jokes.
