I've only seen the Redux and I could already tell which scenes were added. The redux edit ruins the whole movie (I assume judging by how much praise apocalypse now gets compared to how shit the redux was) with how bad the extra scenes were. I need to get round to watching the theatrical cut at some point, the way the film was meant to be viewed

I've only seen the redux and I liked the movie a lot until the French plantation shit. I heard that the original version doesn't have the crew meet up with the playmates again down the river which was a highlight of the film to me.
