Here's a better option.

Execute 7 criminals. Place each one of their tied bodies onto sleds manned by artic doggos.

Try to get close to the white walkers, when one of the guys resurrects FUCK BACK at full speed to the wall. When the first sled with a zombie returns order to fire heavy fire arrows at the sky to let the other guys know the task is already done.
Pros
- You most likely will get more than one zombie.
- By dividing in 7 groups you reduce the chance of casualties.
- You don't put all your coins in one single bag.

if the night king directly touches a corpse it becomes a white walker, otherwise it will just raise corpses as ordinary wights. the dragon thing was either done for dramatic effect or it's a far more sophisticated wight, perhaps even white walker if possible.
