family guy is a interesting case

only those with extremely high intelligence or extremely low intelligence can like it

the shear utter chaos of the show makes it very interesting to watch

this is the only show that had the balls to make the same bad conway twitty joke so much that it actually became funny the third time

From what I remember, south park haven't done any 'gag after gag' type shows, they've just completely fucked up the past 2 seasons by getting political and trying to have an underlying plot between episodes.

The show was better when the episodes were based on current political events. When they have a set story to stick to it makes it hard to work current events into the plot, which takes away from what made south park so great in the earlier seasons.
