The Clone Wars.

The greatest animated series to ever exist, funded out of George Lucas's pocket. It captured everything that made Star Wars great, across all six movies, as well as pushing the lore and Galaxy in new and interesting places. Not many people realize or know this, but Lucasfilm today is basically continuing Star Wars media with TCW as the entire foundation. Pick up any new comic, or book, or shit you can even see it in the new movies. The storytelling and characters and themes and stories are all spanning out of TCW in some way. Half of the plot of Rogue One can be traced back to plans Lucas had for TCW, and the Live Action counterpart series that he never got off the ground.

It was going to wrap up with some pretty intense stuff regarding the Mandalorian Civil War, Ahsoka, Darth Maul, and various other planned stories, like the true origins of Boba Fett, and more.

Had to be cut short when Lucas left working at Lucasfilm, and they started on Rebels as a successor.
