I bought early tickets to The Force Awakens on opening day. some megalithic fatass who seemed to lack the ability to close his mouth was sitting next to me with his son and daughter.
He was wearing fucking full star wars stuff everywhere so I figured, well, maybe he'll shut up and just watch because he's excited for it.
Sits down right in front of the screen and takes out his phone immediately and goes on facebook. it's on fucking MAX brightness and he's right in front of the screen.
About an hour and a half into the movie, people are so annoyed that they went and seeked out the manager to have this guy kicked out. His son and daughter had to leave with him too
how fucking terrible would it be if that guy was your father, the guy who was supposed to teach you about life and guide you?
he literally couldn't get off facebook for five fucking minutes.

It's a ploy to get you to the theater more often to buy concessions. Okay cool, you're save on ticket prices, but everything else won't change.

Still, for people who like going to the theater, imagine the savings. Like imagine what Brad Jones & co. get to save with passes like that. That's like 60-70 movies a year, or what would have been $500 just on tickets, for one person.

What's important is the details: are their blackout times (weekends, holidays)? Is it for 2D vanilla screenings only? Is it unlimited use?

Which movies this month would you actually have paid money to see? That has to be 2, or ideally 3 or 4 movies for this to be a good deal.
