I think they are honestly trying to appeal to a younger crowd, maybe middle schoolers. I'm not taking shots at adult fans, it's just that all the quips and stuff make perfect sense if this was that kind of movie. It's not though, it's like some weird cross-breed that tries to appeal to pre-teens, teens, and adults at the same time.

This, i had such a feel good vibe after watching gotg2, yondu's sacrifice and funeral was so nice. Just rewatched gotg as well and it's the same feel. Generally enjoy them and they're very entertaining throughout. Nice mix of action, adventure and comedy with some very dark moments at times.
