How can you pick and choose what episodes/seasons to avoid?
You watch all of it, bad parts and good parts.
Might as well not bother if you're gonna avoid half of it.

It's an overall mediocre show. If you want to see a show about a police offer that slowly goes insane in an post apocalyptic world, I recommend The Leftovers. 3 seasons and it is brilliant.

The walking dead is 7 seasons and most of it is melodrama and BS.

I got into it last year. Marathoned all 6 seasons. My favorites were Season 3 and the last half of Season 4 and the first half of Season 5. Those two halves are kinda 1 season regarding the story arc Rick and the group go through. Don't skip any seasons. It's not a sitcom.
