What are some movies like 'The Ring' that constantly use a blue filter? I don't know why but I find this blue lens filter that verbinski used in 'The Ring' VERY relaxing and comfy.
The Abyss
Aliens
BATTLEFIELD EARTH!
Enjoy!

don't forget T2
Cameron must like it a lot
How scary is the ring anyway? This shit was always praised as a great horror movie when it aired. Is it?
Payback is a perfect example of this. Adds to the grittiness in my opinion.

>blue filter
i did prefer the yellow filter of Kiyoshi Kurosawa´s kairo
Memes aside, half the reason Twilight is so comfy is the filter

it's not really scary but it's a good mystery movie for sure even if the ending sucks

You already sound like you made up your mind, so fuck off
Dark Water should be a good match, same genre, same tropes etc, from mid 00s.
You could also take a look at scandinavian or russian films, especially their dramas. For some reason they always slap blue filters on those

'Scary' is even more subjective than 'funny', asking if x is scary is a worthless question desu.
It does have a few jumpscares but it relies more on nice creepy atmosphere and imagery.

Dark Water is a great one if looking for the type of blue filter that means to inspire depression
