Why is this so underrated? It's unironically a masterpiece of filmmaking.
>guy from the office
Nobody with good taste would go see that. It's another film brought down by the main actor being in a mediocre dragged out remake of a British show.

I've been meaning to watch it just because it looks to have some really meaty gore effects from big machine guns shooting people.

>Why is this so underrated?
Michael Bay's name is on it.
>>86293139
is it really worth watching? I was thinking of watching it anyway because Krasinski is a qt but I don't want to waste my time if the film isn't at least halfway decent.
it is great, not a masterpiece though.
bays best since the rock

Plenty of scenes of 50 cals cutting hajis in half if you're into that.

The exact same film signed Ridley Scott or Bigelow would have received Oscar noms, it's such bullshit. It's Bay at his best and without his usual pandering to lowest common denominator and other compromises for the studio. All the usual criticism people throw at him are absent from this, there's no problem with spatial awareness or absurd editing during action, no tasteless toilet humor, etc.
This board creams itself over a bland 3-minute operator scene from Sicario but this is non-stop operator kino, with the most intense gunfights since Heat and the best siege horror since Assault and Dawn of the Dead.

>It's unironically a masterpiece of filmmaking.
it's a pretty good movie but calm the fuck down
i was fine with it until cars started flipping up and down from rpgs. that's not how shit works.
Yeah I watched this for the first time the other night, it was bretty good, I had to ask myself a few time how accurate it was though?

I really enjoyed it, and it has some good M240B porn in it, as well as the .50 scene some people have mentioned. It also did a halfway decent job of showing just how confusing things can get.

I wish Bay would go back to Bad Boys

This movie singlehandidly shifted the outcome of the 2016 elections in such a more meaningful and impactful way than anything /pol/ did.
This movie is the reason Trump is President, just like the only reason Obama got re-elected was due to Zero Dark Thirty.

shut up nerd /pol/ is literally the jesus christ of the internet we felled the pharisees

>It's Bay at his best and without his usual pandering to lowest common denominator
Oh fuck off. The scale of the actual engagements is completely overblown with his trademark fireworks explosions. It's Black Hawk Down for garbage Millennials.
>BEEEEEENNNNNNGHAAAAAAZZZZIIIIIIII

Zero Dark Thirty came after the 2012 election you fucking retard.
And the GOP controlled congress was unable to make anything to make anything stick to Hillary after like eight inquiries. The private server was a far bigger scandal. No one cares that some fucking mercs died in the dessert fighting Arabs.
