Why are leftists such creeps and why are they constantly projecting thier sexual fantasies onto everybody else? Also, since when did they become neocon warmongers salivating over a war with Russia?

These are the same people who claimed the Soviets were the good guys back when the Cold War was happening. These are the same people who laughed at, and made sketches about, Mitt Romney saying that Russia was a geopolitical threat. These people are desperate and insane, so much so that they are literally siding with Kim Jong Un and saying Trump is a bigger threat. Frivolous lunatics.
>>
Is there some sort of brain disease infecting US liberals? Everything is Russia, not only Russia but some weird nebulous Soviet clone that hasn't existed in a generation.
>>
>>86262570
Really sad how homophobic bill maher really is.
>>
Was it also alright to call Obama an illegal nigger with a tranny wife?
>>
>>86262570
>Lenin was the first Soviet head of state and principal revolutionary and of the October Revolution
>Lemon Party is a name of a website featuring an orgy involving (old) men
>Trump's favorable stance towards Russia has been called homoerotic
Surely, even liberals have to admit this is incredibly lazy, cheap, and unfunny.
>>

Inconsistency on the part of the left.
>>
>>86266449
The international situation was far different back then. Russia hadn't invaded Ukraine nor interfered in the elections.
Not a sound argument.
>>
>>86266449
There's literally no "left" in the american politics.
There has never been.
The Left sentiment has only started to appear slightly in the new demographics and y'all called it "far-left" when it's like one-to-ten degrees to the left on a scale of 100.
Americans are completely delusional.
>>
>>86266503

>nor interfered in the elections.

But they didnt. Can you give me a source of where voting machines were hacked or tampering with paper ballots?
>>
>>86265606
Ted Kennedy did
>>
>>86266503
Russia invaded Georgia in 2008. It also begs the question as to how Russia becomes "our" geopolitical threat merely because they invade a country bordering their own, as if we would become Russia's biggest geopolitical threat by invading Canada or Mexico.
>>
>>86266585
The left is merely a political alignment which would apply in any situation and it's "completely delusional" to suggest otherwise. By that logic, except in the most right-leaning countries, the right doesn't exist either.
>>
>>86265606

How many communist party members joined the democrats afterwards?
>>
>>86266894
As a rule of thumb, in the early Cold War days Democrats were fierce anti-communist hawks and Republicans were "America First" isolationists.

These seems a little bit simplistic, but definitely, Republicans were less hawkish than Democrats, which probably relates more to Democrats having control during such a critical period of the Civil War, while the executive branch historically usually being more hawkish than the legislative, and the rest of the country.
>>

Why is America so obsessed with Russia? Liberals act like Russiaboos who believe that Russia literally controls everything everywhere around the world. Well just move there if it's so powerful.
>>
>>86266787
It becomes a geopolitical threat because it threatens international stability, and the interest of U.S. allies.
Annexing territory goes against the international order since WW2, it's no small deal.

>>
>>86267215
It's not really Americans that are obsessed with Russia. It's just the media, and far-left liberals. The idea that Trump could've won the election on-his-own is so anathema to their ideology that they must find a boogeyman to scapegoat.

Otherwise, they'd have to acknowledge the rejection of their worldview at the election polls.

So, by that logic, Russia is it's own geopolitical foe? Militant Islamist organizations still seem much worse. Russia was still occupying territories of George when that debate took place. If people were still so incredibly thick as to think Russia wouldn't pull that shit again, that was their stupidity. So Romney is somehow smarter than all the leftists that mocked him, and he and they are wrong for thinking these actions make them our biggest geopolitical foe. So ranking people in foresight, it would leftists last, then Romney, then people who recognize there are much greater threats to stability then Russia, despite what neighbor it might invade.

The agencies always immediately blame the current popular bogey man.
Years ago it was always China or North Korea who was behind every hack.

The truth is proper attribution of hacks is incredibly hard.
So they rather say "It was the Russians" instead "We don't know" because they want to look competent and in control.

And the idea that every major hack has to have a whole country behind is also retarded.

>Neither is saying the conflict is difference without any proof.

I already explained why the conflict was different. There was no ongoing conflict in 2012, the war lasted a few days, it happened years ago, and Georgia had significant responsibility in the conflict.
Now there's an ongoing armed conflict in Ukraine that has lasted years, Russia is the sole responsible for the war, and there was an annexation by force of an entire region of Ukraine.

>EU and America knew what was up they just didn't want to deal with Russia at the time and let it slide.

Yes, it's all a conspiracy, silly me.

http://www.redstate.com/streiff/2016/07/27/remember-democrats-asked-ussr-help-elect-walter-mondale/

>During the Cold War, the Democrats routinely asked communists dictators around the world to take specific actions in order to help the Democrats win elections at home. For instance, Democrat Speaker of the House Jim Wright sent a letter signed by nine other Democrats to Nicaraguan dictator Daniel Ortega assuring him that the House Democrats had his back against the policies of the Reagan administration.

>>86268378
Of course they can, in principle, but what are the chances of there being a literal conspiracy to deceive the whole world about it? Far, far smaller than the probability that Russia did indeed interfere. It would be entirely irrational to assume a priori they are lying, given the circumstances.
>>

>>
>>86267796
>The situation in Georgia was completely different
There you go with the fucking hyperboles. It "different," but not completely so, so any valid point you might have had is lost with overstatement. Russia justified both invasions with the purpose of protecting Russian citizens, both countries aspired to join NATO, both countries had revolutions, the way Russia invade Georgia very gradually was very similar to the manner in Ukraine, with the use of "unidentified troops.

>>86267797
>Georgia itself was largely to blame for the war.
>>86267797
>Georgia started that war.
Not against Russia, unless they somehow had the right to fight for the South Ossetian separatists, in which case they were equally justified in fighting for the pro-Russian forces in Crimea. If anything, the Ukrainian conflict was much more justified than the Georgian one.
>It was a bizarre thing to say in 2012
I guess if you were an idiot who couldn't see that the large political divisions in Ukraine over having greater attachment to the West or Russia wouldn't ultimately lead to a situation that would be exploited by the Russians.

It's still a bizarre statement because Islamic militant groups are a much greater geopolitical threat.

I literally pointed out the reasons why they were similar. Seems like you're moving the goal posts and saying how the recentness of the war was different compared to the Ukraine war, and if people somehow forgot, you're basically telling me leftists have a memory of four years, and furthermore, too stupid to at least realize that Russia was and is still occupying Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The really significant difference between the aftermath of the two conflicts is that Russia hasn't outright annexed those two regions, but also, the people of those regions didn't overwhelmingly want to be part of Russia.

Let's hope that you're right in leftists being so forgetful so that in four years, (which is the extent of their memory, apparently), they can focus on other things instead of the Russian bogeyman, but perhaps their memory will be retentive because they really only give a shit about Russia because they've convinced themselves that's why "Madam President" lost.

>Ukraine is an ongoing conflict that's destroying a country of millions in this very moment
There's actually been a ceasefire since February. If that doesn't make it a finished conflict, by this logic, the Russo-Georgian War is still ongoing.

>make these situations completely different.
Except the multiple similarities between the two conflicts that I've pointed out.

> I'm surprised you still don't get this.

>the fact that the Ukraine war is a current conflict, while the Georgia war wasn't (and was over)
How is the Ukraine conflict a current war and Georgia isn't? There's been a ceasefire between the countries since February. By this logic, the conflict between Georgia and Russia isn't over because those territories are still occupied by Russia.
Also, what's implied by that is that absolutely nothing could change in terms of territory, occupation, and diplomacy, and then Ukraine would be no different from Georgia. So Romney was basically mocked for having a longer period of considering a country rogue then the Democrats, (which is apparently, four years), and then when it turns out he actually correctly identified their nature, there are still people foolish enough to say it was right to mock him, but basically allow that he was right, which not only makes them inconsistent, but wrong on both counts.
And you are moving the goal posts because you said the two conflicts were completely different, but after I identified major similarities, you then fall back on the supposed difference that the Ukrainian conflict is ongoing, while the Georgian one isn't, relying on an arbitrary standard for determining this, or possibly unaware that a ceasefire has existed in Ukraine for around six months.
>It seems you're too dumb to follow a conversation.
not an argument :D
>giving priority to current events has nothing to do with short memory
It seems like you're giving no priority at all to the fact that there's been a ceasefire for six months.

Using language like "It's time to take a stand" with imagery of crosshairs paints a pretty clear picture. There's no reason for them to be crosshairs other than attempting to pander to gun nuts. The only people using the terms "Russian hacking" are TV pundits.

Right now, there are two separate investigation teams under Mueller's independent investigation. One is investigating Obstruction of Justice charges in the whole Trump/Comey situation (which will probably just be chalked up to there being no clear line crossed and given up on). The other investigation is collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. This is the big one. They've hired a team of attorneys with history in Racketeering investigations to look into the Trump corporation's finances. The general theory is that the Russian government was pumping money into Trump (the business and the man) for the 4 years leading up to the election, preparing for the race. They essentially have him over a barrel financially (again, this is just theory so far). Add into that the whole Piss Tape thing (which apparently the consulting firm behind the Steele Dossier is handing over documents to confirm the findings), there's pretty big evidence of collusion.

The theory isn't the Trump campaign worked with Russia to get elected, the theory is Russia built up Trump, got dirt on him, and is using that dirt over him as influence. The "collusion" is communication between Russia and people like Manafort, Kushner, Flynn, etc.

I'm not saying I completely subscribe to these theories, but that's the basis of the investigation (supposedly). In my opinion, none of this is enough to unseat Trump. If this is true, if anyone goes to jail, it'll be Manafort, Flynn, etc.

And didn't object to the various similarities I pointed out between the two conflicts. It would be one thing if Russia literally did nothing since 2012 and Romney basically called them a geopolitical foe without further confirmation, (even though he's wrong in principle because this doesn't as such make us our foe), but it wasn't that difficult to identify that what happened in Georgia could have happened again. Your argument centers on trying to find Romney's argument lacking by discounting Russia's invasion of Georgia and ignoring that Romney was right all along. It would be much harder for me to defend the validity of Romney's statement using new leftist premises if Russia had intervened in Ukraine, but since that happens, you're basically trying to defend the short-sightedness of leftists in 2012.

I was referencing this piece of dialogue:

>Very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark.
>Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical, summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really. At the age of 12 I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum, it's breathtaking, I suggest you try it.

The joke is that he had a fucking weird childhood, kind of like the guy who's the product of an anthropological student who spent her life traveling from country to country collecting brown dick and a Kenyan polygamist, who then went to be raised by his dog-eating Indonesian stepfather before finally graduating into insular Communist circles from San Fransico to Chicago to New York.

This is literally made up.

>>
>>86272334
Income taxes come out of your paycheck. It's been proven like 4 times you don't know what you're talking about.

Again, to reiterate my first point, getting a Tax Refund after filing is not the same as not paying taxes. It means you paid TOO MUCH taxes and they're giving you some of your money BACK. Filing your income taxes and having to pay taxes isn't paying "extra" taxes, it means you made income that was previously untaxed.

Yes, a small percentage of people neglect to file their taxes, but if 47% of America wasn't filing income taxes each year, the IRS would be kicking down doors.

Even if I allow that the Ukrainian conflict is more relevant now than the Georgian conflict was in 2012, (which isn't really the case for the U.S. in particular, unless the stability of that particular region is identical to U.S. interests), basically, all of the reasons that leftists lobbed at Romney would mean leftists shouldn't be so alarmed about Russia today.

>Obama: "Gov. Romney, I'm glad that you recognize that al-Qaida is a threat, because a few months ago when you were asked what's the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia, not al-Qaida. You said Russia ... the 1980s, they're now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War's been over for 20 years,"
As I'm sure you're aware, it's still not the 1980s, and the Cold War has been over for even more than twenty years now, meaning by Obama's logic, we shouldn't consider them the " biggest geopolitical threat" now.
>Don't pretend for a second you knew it back then
I wasn't pretending that either. My position is that Russia's interests, even at their most expansionist and militaristic, have little affect on the U.S. Even in the manner that Russians supposedly "hacked" our election, there's no evidence whatsoever that they actually changed a single vote after it was casted by an American, meaning they only affected our voted by supposedly releasing information which Americans should have known in the first place. So no, I wouldn't have known that Russia would invade Ukraine either, because it's irrelevant as to whether or not its our foe, and the militant Islamist groups are far worse. My only point was, that using leftst premises, (which is basically that Russia personally elected Donald Trump), Romney was right, they were wrong, and they were foolish to mock him. Even using the somewhat more respectable premise that Russia invading its neighbor makes us its foe, or that hacking email servers not even to get classified information, I don't buy.
>>
>>86272544
I never said it wasn't true?
>>
>>86272567
Then do the research idiot. 47% don't pay income taxes, that's not made up that is 100% truth. Just because you pay it and get it all back doesn't mean you "paid" it if you still get it back.

>>
>>86272537
So, I'm going to help you out and quote you exactly what Obama said:
>The essence of this tragedy, it seems to me, derives from a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers: an inability to imagine, or connect with, the humanity and suffering of others. Such a failure of empathy, such numbness to the pain of a child or the desperation of a parent, is not innate nor, history tells us, is it unique to a particular culture, religion, or ethnicity. It may find expression in a particular brand of violence and may be channeled by particular demagogues or fanatics. Most often, though, it grows out of a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair. … [W]e will have to devote far more attention to the monumental task of raising the hopes and prospects of embittered children across the globe – children not just in the Middle East, but also in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and within our own shores.

Are you an illiterate as well as a reactionary? So obviously, you can see this is not what you claimed he said.
