I watched his Sane Man special on Netflix last night. Didn't laugh once. I knew he was an unfunny hack but it was worse than I realized. Then I watched Denis Leary's No Cure for Cancer. People say he ripped off Hicks act. He definitely ripped off some of the material but his delivery seemed based more on Kinison than Hicks. Stand-up is like a play but you get the credit for being the writer too. You have to own up to being both the actor AND the writer. You get the benefits of both AND the consequences

Denis was a good actor. He did McBeth(hypothetically/metaphorically) BUT he has to also own up to the plagiarism of acting like they were his jokes. (E.g. claiming that he wrote McBeth for example).

and it could be argued it was an homage, and at the very worst a "rookie" mistake as Picasso was 19 at the time of this painting. But what made Picasso great was neither homages or plagiarizing, and this is literally the ONLY one you could find that that argument could even be made that he plagiarized, even though all it shares is a sort of similar color palette, composition, and some background flowers. I think Picasso would agree, this painting was not exemplary of him and not what made him great.
