Getting knocked off-balance is something that happens fairly easily, and regaining your balance in mid-air is fucking difficult. Furthermore, since the bolt is stuck in the wing joint that'd make it difficult to get back up in the air since, again, one wing is providing less lift than the other, which messes with the balance.
