Speaking as someone who's loved Wolverine since childhood, who willingly buys any shit comic or badly made lunchbox with Wolverine's face on it, it really was terrible. It's not the actors' faults--well, maybe Will.i.am and Gambit's, but Schrieber, Jackman and Reynolds were fine--but the story is absolutely retarded (remember when they tricked the man with hyper senses into thinking his gf was dead because she lay still and poured some ketchup on her neck) and even the special effects are like fucking asylum tier awful. It is just an awful, rushed, mangled product in every way.

It's literally no worse than almost every other xmen film. Yes, the claws in the bathroom are the series worst fx but plenty of stuff in 1, 3, and first class stands out as poorly executed too. Every single film has extra useless mutant cameos. If any thing this is has a leg up on certain films in the series because the saber tooth/wolverine relationship is so strong. Also best opening credits of the series.

I'd say Apocalypse was the worst because it was just so damn boring. At least Origins was bad in an entertaining way.

It's aged well in the way that the Star Wars prequels aged well. That is to say that the future movies are so bad that they make mistakes of the past look pretty good.

Origins isn't really a good flick, but it gets better after watching Logan and The Wolverine

Probably one of my favorite X-men film. Not really a huge superhero movie fan but i really dont understand why people think its so bad.

The intro, and whole first part of them fighting in all the wars was fucking epic. Sabertooth was fucking amazing(1million times better than the abomination in the first xmen).
It was fucking awesome when he gets his adamantium claws and starts taking people out.
Seeing gambit, deadpool and a badass sabertooth was fucking great.
I thought all the landscapes were fucking cool.

I dont really know much about film, or comics tho so maybe someone can explain to me whats actually so bad about it.

I thought it was a million times better than Avengers which i thought was a muddled up cheesy shitshow.

I think its about the level of the other wolverine movies, although id maybe say Logan>origins>the wolverine.

Def better than the first 3 xmen, days of future past, green lantern, andrew garfield spidermans and spiderman3, all avengers and captain republican movies.

It is the worst. Something has to be the worst, right? And in this instance it's this one.
Hugh Jackman and Liev Schrieber were both great, and the opening titles over the various wars was also cool, but that's about it.

Terrible special effects (both CGI and practical), atrocious script, bad direction, butcherings of multiple great characters from the comics, plot-holes with the previous X-Men films, it just doesn't really have any positive elements to it outside of the performances of the main two characters.

In the theatre there's one point where a really prolonged and suspicious shot of Wolverine carrying the chick into the sunset where I leaned over to my friend and jokingly made a pistol with my hand as if it was about to slide into frame and shoot Wolverine, and it actually fucking happened. Really terrible.

Also, pic related is an actual screencap. That's pretty fucking horrendous. There's no excuse for them to look that terrible eight years after they looked fine in X-Men.

It's a really bad movie, but a really enjoyable bad movie who has still legitimately good written moments (like the relationship scenes between Logan and his Waifu and, except for the last, the scenes with Logan and Sabretooth).
So it had a lot of potential but is overshadowed with a lot of dumb moments. I enjoyed it more than Apocalypse, who was just boring shit and had barely any good moments aside from the outbreak of Wolverine.
