I've been rewatching this and I'm surprised by how well it holds up.
Tales from the Crypt discussion, boys and ghouls?
Favourite episode/story?
Electric chair episode was good, and one with the lady who kills her husband for taxidermy all the animals.
One with magician who used dead cat lives to earn money on death performances... not realising cat was already dead... end buried alive.

I like the one about how sneed took over the fuck and suck.
>>86155692
the one where it turns out the guy's wife is a lesbian and the cop is a murderer
>>86155692
i like the one where the duplicitous character kills someone else impulsively and tries to over it up
The ventriloquist dummy episode. The one with Don Rickles and Bobcat Goldthwait. I dropped my jaw at the twist.

Pesci and twins
Reverse Paths of Glory with Kirk Douglas

Why is this not on hbo go
the Bogart episode wound up being the scariest because of how creepy the uncanny valley effect was
>tfw HBO has always had more kino than you can shake a stick at
>>86156257
That episode was unironically kino. And now I'm kicking myself in the head for not realizing what it ultimately was.
>>86155461
How much twilight zone material does it recycle?
tale from the darkside is superior
>>86156233
is it just me, or was there an alarming number of episodes where the twist was: conjoined twin

Said no man ever
You ask about GOAT Tales of the Crypt, the first thought that will come is the "night of the demon" movie.
Episode-wise, I can now only vividly remember two:
-Bitch kills her husband and turns him into soap (guess what she does next)
-Some crazy scientist is killing people to find evidence of the soul before it leaves the body.

Yeah it does.
Zane?
>>86156292
this is officialy where robert zemeckis began the downward spiral with cgi
>>86156344
None. The episodes are literally modernized versions of classic horror comics from the 1950s like Tales from the Crypt, Vault of Horror, or Haunt of Fear. However there is a first season episode, "All Around the House," which is a remake of a segment from the original Tales From the Crypt movie from the 70s.
>>86156344
It's not that kind of show dude.
>>86156344
none? most of the stories are adapted from the actual comic, well not tales from the crypt, but whatever the crime spinoff was
> w Arnold is the first cameo/ special guest in the crypt
How fucking connected was the Cryptkeeper?
The episode that is a /tpg/ favorite and an accepted part of the Twin Peaks cinematic universe.
>>86156344
Zero. It's not like the Twilight zone at all
>>86156421
explain, then
like seasons 3-5 have a bunch of crazy good guest stars and directors, fucking Tobe Hooper, Zemeckis, Walter Hill, John Frankenheimer, and William Friedkin
>>86156986
its hilariously cheesey
i only saw 1 of the tale from the crypt movie and nothing else so maybe its better
the episode where the lady is turned into a mexican lady who killed herself is legit creepy tho
