Vic (Don Johnson) is a libidinous 18-year-old traversing the post-apocalyptic desert of 2024, in the company of his telepathic
dog, Blood. When the pair encounter an underground community, the leader's daughter, Quilla Holmes (Susanne Benton),

I know it has been said already but A Boy And His Dog (1975) is great
it has two scenes that go on for too long, but the plot is great
if you have a dog that is your best friend, it is an absolute must watch
the main reason for people not liking it is that the protagonist is an asshole, but he's meant to be and the film acknowledges it in several ways.
