Then there are the scenes where the soldiers burn, and Jamie looks at the destruction and the ashes of his soldiers, the way it was shot was meant to be sympathetic, then you have the retarded Dothraki going GG EZ, which further points out that Jamie was meant to be the sympathetic party and then you have Daenerys' evil expression while she tries to take out the spear and Jamie's heroic charge.

In the books Jaime is a much more heroic figure than in the show. He did kill the King for the benefit of the city and to save his family from walking into a trap.
