Most of the "canon" that was replaced was superfluous garbage anyway. Taking every ancillary character and giving them pointless details and backstories to make them seem relevant and like someone you can identify with, cloning dead canon characters so they don't have to be dead in your fanfiction, the fucking Sunkiller or whatever it was called.
