The reaction to his wife dying was really realistic. People don't actually scream to the stars "wwwhyyyyy" or start crying that instant. There's a confusion and a sort of lack of belief. Real grief isn't as smooth and immediate. Some people even laugh.

Nah, the comics are fine. Hard to adapt properly for live action television, but fine. The first season of TWD was good, and followed the comics well enough, but once AMC saw how successful it was, they got dollar signs in their eyes, and cut the budget for subsequent in half, and also doubled the episodes. As a result, the money for writing, directing, actors, sets, make-up, CGI etc. was sliced in half, leaving the replacement producers with fuck-all to work with.

Andrew Lincoln's acting in the S7 premiere was phenomenal.

He barely had any dialogue the whole episode but he completely nailed all the devastation, shock, grief, guilt, and horror Rick was going through the entire time. Seriously he should have been nominated for an award.

Rick is just a bland hero guy. Show Rick has more edge to him.

Characters like Shane, The Governor, Carol, Hershel, and Morgan are WAY less interesting in the comics.

Shane & Negan is too easy

Rick & Negan as eventual buddies has way more potential. Despite Lucille'ing Glen he still held back from actually making Rick cut Quarrel's hand off.

I still prefer Shane. Rick's meltdown in Alexandria was basically him coming to terms with what Shane was trying to school him on all along. One of my favourite scenes from a shitty show. It bears repeating: OP's a faggot.
