What show should I watch /tv/?
Now's your chance to shill your favorite tv show. Describe it too of course.
Game of Thrones. It's a political drama set in a fantastical medieval Europe where royal families fight for the "Iron Throne"
The Wire. No other show is close to compareexcept maybe Deadwood

You need to go back
I'm gonna shill a show that rarely gets talked about on /tv/: Homicide: Life on the Street. It's a brilliant police procedural that sets the tone for The Wire which focuses on the psychological aspects of homicide police work. It's a very dark show and it deeply explores the mentality and emotional connections of the detectives on the show. It's equally good in its one-off episodes as it is in its episodic storylines.

Fuck off, /pol/. The Wire is top notch just based on the structure, even if you hate the content.

What are you looking for?
I like Todd and the Book of Pure Evil. Its kind of like Buffy meets Metalocalypse. Canadian horror-stoner comedy series. Not nearly well-known enough, but it was good enough that an episode from each season won whatever the leafs have for television awards.

the strain
The Sopranos is the best television show ever created. Some lesser options:
The Shield
True Detective season one
The Wire
Breaking Bad
Mad Men
Six Feet Under
Deadwood

I really wish this existed in HD. Been a while since I've seen it. Almost never gets mentioned on this board but it is a truly great cop drama.

This is actually a pretty cool take on vampires.
I also almost finished Ozark and I've enjoyed it so far.
