The show only had a life expectancy of 2-3 seasons, provided they didn't go down the path of progression. If it was 2 or 3 seasons, it would be a tv legend but now it's only a cult classic. The thing about this show is that it's the best of its genre. Among gazillions of american nuclear family generation gap sitcom/dramas, this one towers above all else. If you're not fan of the genre, you probably won't like it, since you're not the target audience.

Besides, Linda Cardellini is top tier waifu. Too bad they never followed Mindy's implied lesbianism

Yeah it's pretty good. One of the most realistic portrayals of high school I've seen. Really funny too. Unlike Apatow's modern stuff, Freaks and Geeks scenes all serve a purpose to the plot or the characters and aren't just improv conversations that are kind of funny. It never feels tedious like Judd Apatow's films are.

I genuinely liked it a lot. I think it was cancelled at the right time, too. It would've worn out its welcome if it ran much longer, they did everything they needed to do with these characters
