All I did was read three grewt booms, one alright one and one really shitty one, and remembered what happened in them, and all of a sudden this show has transformed me into some 'well achkshually in the books...' dweeb who's trapped trying to relate with normies over a series they claim to love but can't even follow, even in its television-edited simplicity, and they have no capacity for fleshing out or any speculation, to the point where if you tell them directly what is in the show and connect the basic dots about the basic direction of the story they get confused and zone out, or start stressing about spoilers as if they never thought about it themselves. This show is so underwritten that people hardly bother to follow what's going on, it doesn't mean anything to them except those dumb moments where Arya or whoever pops out and knifes any random character. They all gasp and say it was sick. They literally watch to see the HBO-patented gank scenes as if they're still impressed that a character can exit stage down with a blood pack and not come back. It's the strangest thing.

I remember this scene. Up to that point the Lannisters kind of looked like retards and I was wondering how they could be so powerful. Then Tywin is introduced and immediately looks like the top alpha dog badass. Then when he got BTFO by Robb in the first battle, it made Robbs victory even greater. That battle was also greatly built up to over a few episodes, had a realistic course of action and you were emotionally invested in it. Compare it to the latest episode of teleporting, CGI and nothing making any sense.

I'm not surprised stannis will fail to complete take over, as his army is dying to the cold ATM. His kid getting burned isn't far fetched as Mel and the kid are at the castle together, it's Stannis being okay with it that felt wrong. Remember Mel tried to burn Mance's kid and the whole switch that happened. Stoneheart doesn't matter in the show because they gutted Jamie's redemption arc. That being said I still enjoy aspects of the show, like Jon Snu and Davos, Sandor Clegane, Euron (nothing like the books but at least he's entertaining), and oddly enough Cersei even though it doesn't make much sense for her to be anywhere nearly as good at political negotiations as her father.

There's a lot of shit in the current season that the writers aren't doing that well, but there's still stuff I like and that's basically what keeps me watching.

Also, inb4 the books become just as bad (if they ever get written that is) containing a lot of shit from the past two seasons that people frequently criticized here.
