High Fantasy just doesn't lend itself well to a format where you can only tell a story in 1-3 hours. It's a genre that lives and dies by detailed worldbuilding and lore.

Fantasy seems to work best when used to convey mythological type motifs like the hunt for the grail, riddle of steel, the entirety of middle earth, Beowulf and even Star Wars, otherwise it just falls into a shallow puddle with dudes in weird clothes throwing fireballs at each other. Though Willow is pretty good.

Fantasy tv shows suck too. Hercules, Xena, Legend of the Seeker have all aged horribly.

Most fantasy is just hacks ripping off Tolkien without having any of Tolkien's knowledge of mythology, etymology, or history. Tolkein went to the source and made it his own.

fantasy is an aryan tradition, it requires earnestness and sincerity to make well(see lord of the rings) jews cant into these traits. hollywood is saturated with jews, thus they are usually incapable of making a quality fantasy film.
