The COnjuring 2 felt like a personal insult. It was like James Wan wanted me to cringe and roll my eyes to blindness. Yet it was a hit. Am I just out of touch? THEY HAD A KUMBAI-YA MOMENT, FOR FUCK'S SAKE.

I really enjoyed the first Conjuring. Was Wan known before then? Was he corrupted by fame? 2 went completely off the rails, embarrassingly melodramatic.

Creature designers now are too obsessed with 'creepy' grins and faces that look like they were stretched in photoshop and dark eye-sockets. Particularly with boogieman-esque characters.

This guy uses that but makes him look fun which is cool but apparently he isn't fun so that's boring.
