Gurm crafted the "Tyrion was in charge of the sewer system at Casterly Rock" Chekhov's gun subtly, carefully, through many books.

D&D did it with one lame line. Are they geniuses?

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/23/world/asia/destroyer-fitzgerald-collision.html

>There should have been lookouts on watch on the port, starboard and stern of the destroyer Fitzgerald — sailors scanning the horizon with binoculars and reporting by headsets to the destroyer’s bridge. At 1:30 a.m. last Saturday, off the coast of Japan south of Tokyo, they could hardly have failed to see the 730-foot freighter ACX Crystal, stacked with more than 1,000 containers, as it closed in.

>Radar officers working both on the bridge and in the combat information center below it should have spotted the freighter’s image on their screens, drawing steadily closer. And under standard protocol, the Fitzgerald’s captain, Cmdr. Bryce Benson, should have been awakened and summoned to the bridge to assure a safe passage long before the ships could come near each other.

>But none of that happened. The Fitzgerald’s routine cruise in good weather through familiar, if crowded, seas ended in the most lethal Navy accident in years. Seven sailors lost their lives.

the pleb tier dialog was that way for atleast 3+ seasons now

i can pin point the exact moment, then the writers commented on needing to convey reactions, and then having the director film reaction shots from characters for every fucking scene because plebs were too stupid to assume someone might be angry or happy about something happening

you know that you can hide fleets in bays and fjords and what else may be available at the hilly/mountainous Westerlands coastline?

the Unsullied are not really experienced in naval warfare, their task was to assault the shore, march fast to Casterly Rock walls and launch an immediate assault. 30-60 mins later, then the main body of the army is piercing through the last layers of the defence, Euron decides to show up, mostly wrecking and attacking barely manned ships at the anchor when the main force is too busy fighting inside the fortress.

then again, don't expect too much of the show where the first scene of the first episode of the first season is about ice zombies.
>>
You know the difference between an assault and a siege, right? Or even a double siege, look up the Battle of Alesia.

This. All of Dany's army is inexperienced in naval warfare, and the unsullied fleet would have only had a skeleton crew at best. So Euron probably didn't even sneak up on them, there's just not much they could have done.

Doesn't help that Tyrion is the worst general ever.

>>85699371
While it wasn't a perfect plan by any means, Tyrion was mainly hamstrung by how utterly incompetent Yara was.

Ok, I am getting a bit confused here, can someone explain to me wtf happened this episode

Last time:
>Two fleets set off from dragonstone
>One went to dorne, the other one went to casterly rock
>The one at dorne got intercepted by Euron
>Who then sailed to KL to deliver the prisoners
>And then managed to catch up to the second fleet at casterly rock this episode

This doesn't make sense, either:
>Euron's ships are super fast
>Unsullied know fuck all about navigation and it takes them super long to get to casterly rock
>The siege of the rock took ridiculously long

Or:

There was a WoT thread on /tv/ earlier today.

Just off the top of my head, list of fetishes in Wheel of Time include: spanking, pet play, collar, lesbians, harem (main character literally has three women who all want to fuck him and agree to share), standard sub and dom, mind control, /ss/, bondage, knife play (technically spears), femdom, maledom.

Even using magic in the series is a sex metaphor, women have to open up to and surrender to the magic as it comes into them while men have to seize and continuously dominate it.

In fairness, having the entire top layer of skin removed and then having what looks like a very acidic/stinging epidermal applied beneath would hurt like a motherfucke, and Jorah got it done to basically his entire torso, back, and left arm. How do you know it's an american, and he meant football fields? Maybe he's a brit, and meant football fields.

The reason should be fairly obvious, it's a convenient middle distance that any random person can easily relate to and picture in their head. Unlike miles or kilometers, it's also a distance most people are used to seeing all in one place. Even for people who run or bike frequently, larger units of distance can be difficult to picture "stretched out" in a straight length. And with american football, unlike many sports, the size of the field is extremely uniform across all leagues, divisions, age groups, etc. It's always 100 yards.

They sorta retconned that. Book version, especially earlier on, they were supposed to be divested of all emotion. Psychopaths, basically. Gerry comes across in most media as just being an unusually level-headed person.

regardless, it's obviously a highly localized disease. they know that it'll only kill you if it spreads to the rest of your body. amputating would be a first choice and it might even be effective since it's just a more drastic version of what sam did.

it's questionable that a very simple procedure of removing skin would be forbidden in the first place, but surely there would not be anything against chopping an infected part and then burning it.

FYI, Debriding is a NASTY process.
https://www.mprnews.org/story/2006/12/13/iraqburns

At the bottom of this is a picture of someone with burns after debriding.

Jorah should have has exposed flesh and been weeping blood everywhere from the treatment.

It should have taken WEEKS for him to recover from this, and he's INCREDIBLY vulnerable to infection because ALL HIS SKIN IS AN OPEN FUCKING WOUND.
