what did /tv/ think of this?
I was honeslty surprised by how good it turned out. all I knew going in was that it is a WWII movie by nolan starring tom hardy.
I didn't think nolan would be able to make such a well rounded movie. his earlier works were just a cluster fuck of way too many gimmicky ideas.
now this is just athmospheric, well shot, smartly arranged and kept short enough.
he really redeemed himself for me and I'll actually be looking forward to his next film
>he fell for the dunkirk meme
true patricians were enjoying Le Film d'Emoji

tell me more about it

i didnt like interstellar and am punishing nolan by skipping this one.

I dislike interstellar with a passion. nolan did everything right in dunkirk what he did wrong in interstellar. watch it. pirate it if you don't want to support him

so are a lot of other films
the movie was a 6/10 at best and one of Nolan's worst

I compare it to prestige, interstellar and inception, who all had way too many ideas going on that just wouldn't blend into one movie for me but more like a sequence of scenes that try hard to come together, but only in a forced way
