House is the pinnacle of the "problem/monster of the week" formula.

The medical stuff is fun and accurate. Yes the formula stays stagnate, but blame the network for that, not House. But as other anon's said, it's about the characters. Show drags a bit towards the end though. Show should have ended when he hooked up with Cuddy.
