So, we all knew this movie would be shit. No surprise there. We all knew it would lack quality.
So why are we giving it attention. People made a big deal about not seeing the Ghostbusters reboot because it looked bad.
Like, people going to see this to review it will be earning more money than everyone going to see it unironically.

Pretty sure it's a Hollywood scapegoat. It's used by the marketing to be easier to engineer the audiences for the next years movies that "have soul" as opposed to that "soulless emoji movie!"
Pretty obvious idea, as the modern social and political climate shows that people love to flock to the less shitty of two options, because it's like a "take that!" to the shittier option.
