How do they manage to churn out mockbusters so quickly? Why do they always do it?

Is it really profitable to hope people will watch your flick by mistake? I mean most people won't confuse them with the real one

They make bank off DVD sales and rentals. Probably either drunk teens renting them for a laugh or clueless elderly/middle aged people picking out the wrong DVD or thinking the movie is related by mistake.
Throw in some tits and lesbo scenes and you can see there's an audience.

Also the budget is probably near zero so it's easy to make a profit
